About us

Blue Backpack, formerly known as the games department of the media production company btf, is excited to announce its launch as btf’s new game development and self-publishing subsidiary.

As an independently operating division of btf GmbH, with offices in Cologne and Berlin, the former Games Department has been bringing its creative visions to life since 2017 with a team of 20 employees. The studio achieved notable success with their adventure game Trüberbrook, which was honored with “Best German Game 2019” and “Best Design” at the German Computer Game Awards.

Currently, the team is working on the projects The Berlin Apartment and Constance.

One apartment, many stories: Witness turning points in the lives of the inhabitants of an apartment in Berlin over the course of a whole century.
